K-pop sensation ATEEZ has achieved another milestone by claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest album, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2. Released on Nov. 21, the album secured an impressive debut, earning 184,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. according to Luminate. This marks the group’s second album to top the prestigious chart, following THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL in 2023.
Breaking Records with GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2
The album’s success is largely driven by traditional album sales, which accounted for 179,000 copies—making it the top-selling album of the week. Notably, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2 is also the sixth-largest sales debut of 2024. Fans eagerly purchased the album, available in 29 different physical formats, including 23 collectible CDs and six vinyl editions, each featuring exclusive branded content. Additionally, three digital versions of the album, including bonus voice notes from the band, contributed to its first-week sales.
With this feat, ATEEZ joins a growing list of Korean-language albums making waves on the Billboard 200. It is the 26th mostly non-English-language album to achieve No. 1 and the third of 2024, highlighting the global dominance of K-pop and the group’s international appeal.
