Harry Daniels, the TikTok sensation known for serenading celebrities with surprise cover songs, has officially launched his music career with the release of his debut single, “I’m Him,” on Thursday, October 17. The catchy electro-pop track made its radio debut on New York’s Z100 and draws inspiration from Daniels’ viral success on TikTok, where he has amassed 1.6 million followers and garnered over 1 billion views with his popular “Can I sing for you?” videos.
In his debut single, Daniels even gives a nod to his TikTok fame, crooning the signature line “Can I sing for you?” within the lyrics of “I’m Him.” Speaking exclusively to Billboard, Daniels described the song as a reflection of his rapid rise to fame and how it compares to his childhood dreams, calling it his “When I Grow Up” by The Pussycat Dolls moment.
Since joining TikTok in 2022, Daniels has wowed a number of pop icons, including Katy Perry, Doja Cat, Christina Aguilera, SZA, Camila Cabello, and Dua Lipa, as well as notable figures like Vice President Kamala Harris and former Presidents Obama and Biden.
Now shifting his focus to original music, Daniels designed the cover art for “I’m Him” himself and is set to perform the song live for the first time at iHeart’s Dunkin’ Music Lounge in New York on Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The rising star also shared that he is working on new music and plans to release more singles in 2025.
