50 Cent escalates his public feud with Sean 'Diddy' Combs as new abuse allegations surface. Learn more about the legal battle and 50’s upcoming documentary.
For nearly two decades, 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs have publicly traded barbs, but the ongoing legal troubles facing Combs have escalated the tension between the two hip-hop moguls. Over the weekend, Combs faced an additional six civil abuse lawsuits, adding to the half dozen similar claims filed just last week. The allegations accuse the Bad Boy Records founder of sexual and physical abuse, with Combs previously denying all accusations.
50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson) has been vocal in his criticism of Combs, especially in light of the recent charges. In a recent interview with People, Jackson addressed the allegations against his long-time rival, which now include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs, who was arrested in Manhattan on Sept. 17, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
"Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t," 50 said, reflecting on his recent jabs at Combs and their long-standing feud. "It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years." Jackson pointed out that his concerns about Diddy’s alleged ‘Freak Off’ parties—long-rumored sex-and-drug-fueled gatherings—are now coming to light through the legal system.
50 Cent’s Documentary on Diddy’s Alleged History of Abuse
50 Cent recently confirmed he’s working on a Netflix documentary focusing on the allegations against Combs. The project, which remains untitled, will highlight claims of sexual assault and abuse allegedly involving Combs, with some accusations stretching back decades.
“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 Cent said in a joint statement with director Alexandria Stapleton. "We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives."
Jackson emphasized that he had never attended Combs' infamous parties, explaining on a podcast last month that many in the celebrity world stay silent because they participated. "I didn’t go to those parties... I’m just not with all that freaky sh–,” 50 said, adding that his current celibacy is helping him focus on business.
A History of Tension Between 50 Cent and Diddy
50 Cent has frequently trolled Combs on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Back in December, he first teased his plans for a documentary after a shocking lawsuit was filed by Combs’ ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, who accused the hip-hop mogul of more than a decade of physical and sexual abuse. Though the case was quickly settled, 50 Cent used the allegations to reignite his public feud with Combs.
In September, 50 Cent posted a photo with Drew Barrymore, adding the caption: “Here I am keeping good company with @DreBarrymoreTV and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house," referencing authorities’ discovery of baby oil and personal lubricants during a federal raid of Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year.
Diddy’s Legal Troubles Mount
As Combs’ legal team faces an ever-growing pile of lawsuits, his representatives continue to deny the accusations. In a previous statement addressing the initial wave of six civil suits, Combs’ reps stated, "He never sexually assaulted anyone" and expressed confidence in the legal system.
The allegations against Combs include rape, sexual assault, and physical abuse, with some incidents allegedly dating back to the early 1990s. With bail denied twice, Combs remains in custody as he awaits his trial, which is set to begin in May 2025.
